Ok, so below is the same blog that I'm doing for my job as a web dude for IPath which is a skate shoe company. I'm on the road with them doing a blog. Sweet... Enjoy my travels away from SF for a minute.
Well, here we are traveling around the northwest (Portland and Seattle). We'll be doing some daily web updates for ya for the next week and a half so you can follow along. It'll be so awescum. Internet!
So we're leaving at 9, Barker? It's 12:30am. Just 16 hours on the road to go. Stoked. Eyes are gonna bleed.
Sabback packing shoes. For a ten day trip people brought a hell of a lot of pairs.
Stuff Stuff your IPATHS.
All loaded up... well, minus a few more. Quim (yawning), Brian Uyeda, Fred Gall, Mike Fox, and Jack Sabback.
On the road. 1am. 16 hours to go. Stoked. Turn on your IPod and zone out.
hours later dawn broke and Sabback broke out the guitar.
Uyeda sayin', "nah, I don't wanna be on some blog". Game on.
Almost there and the rain begins.
On our way to Seattle passing through Portland. Sabback's dreaming of slippery skate-light.
This is where we're demo steez on Saturday.
We checked out the park to get a taste... Slide...
Nilton Neeves was doing some crazy slappies on the crub out front. The guy rips!
Setups... that mini would rule so hard if it weren't covered in glass.
Welcome to Seattle, Fred.
Welcome to Seattle, Fox.
Welcome to Seattle, Sabback.
Welcome to Seattle, Quim.
Welcome to Seattle, Nilton.
Nilton, Quim, and Barker.
Thanks to Jill Hansen who owns the Skate Barn. She put us up in her tree house... What the hell is Uyeda looking at?
Welcome to Seattle, Rodriguez... Uyeda still starring at something shocking.
Barker's into this classic.
Rodriguez and Fox dueling banjos... Looks like some Devendra Banhart magic gypsy type stuff.
Uyeda and Rodriguez hooked up some food eating. mmmmmmssss.
Late night creeping around the neighborhood... glad to be off the open road... man, 16 hours in a van not sleeping takes a toll.
Fred, Fox, and Sabback
and to the beach for some knotted wood.
watch out for the bears.
Morning at the tree house.
Rodriguez is still out.
Today we went to skate some Seattle-side.
D.I.Y. style. some kinks, but that makes it more fun.
Nilton hitting the box.
Bobby Puleo and Fred Gall.
Fox and Uyeda waiting to document.
Uyeda's covering the trip for an article for The Skateboard mag.
The place is sick.
Fred going places never traveled... trust me, a local said so.
Pat Smith? What are you doing here?
Then to this spot which looks soooooo much better than it actually is. Fall on this and you now have no skin! rough.
Hot chicks all wet.
Nilton getting some surfy on.
Ok, so I'm no skate photographer, but I gotta say that this one of Quim's switch 360 flip I took is Photograffiti worthy at least! Trippe-y angles!
Sabback resting his brain for later evening witty comebacks.
Quotes of the day from Fred: "my skin smells like spilt beer"... and, "That building's my favorite... I'd like to smoke it".
Uyeda and Sabback scheming.
This is Ben. He rips and lives here in Seattle... testing my skate photo skills. F/S 180- heel over the yellow and into the rough. Ill.
Nilton getting lines... you know what he's doing here? It's WAY better than it looks. If I had some sequence, I'd show ya.
Back on the road to Jill's so I can post this bloggy....
We're going to some Karaoke bar right now.
